Unity

I gaze across a shallow canyon
at a man, who once, was my companion
but change has served to set us apart
Our minds and now our collective heart

Unity to plurality
Singularity to duality
Once thought to never separate
divides as interests aggregate

Mistaken ideologues and their beliefs
Forsake men into dogs and theives
Good & bad, tools of words
Shifts sheep to cruel shepherds

Though weapons of individuality
question accepted commonality
Ideas, not the one reality
We all are one, human, is not fallacy

Armed with hungering desire
to close the chasm, I conspire
to reach out to my fellow man
and join in one our human hand.

Our connection destroys
our differing wills
While the shepherds ploys
move the unwise still

I liberate fettered lambs
from the shepherds divisive scams
The comfort he did once provide
contorts the shining core inside

Extinguishing communal unconscious fires
Distinguishes differences and brings forth ire
Relinquishes our cooperation and entire
Conditions of peace that we require

Only when we see as one
Will we gaze upon the sun
and live as one in holy light
So that shepherds shan't blind our sight

Closing the mental separation
One must end alienation
Ideas sans thought, an infestation
Think for yourself, for human unification
